AI Transparency

Artificial intelligence is part of our toolkit — used with a clear stance, defined processes and editorial responsibility. On this page we set out where and how we use AI, and how we label AI content on this website. In doing so we implement the transparency obligations of the EU AI Act (Art. 50).

How we use AI

We use AI systems in a supporting role across concept, copy, image and video production — for research, drafts, image editing or generating individual pieces of media, for example. Every piece of content goes through human review and editorial sign-off: responsibility for the content always rests with us, never with the tool.

Labelling on this website

We label AI content directly on the medium using the European Commission's official transparency labels: images and videos created entirely or predominantly with AI carry the label "AI generated". Content substantially altered or edited with the help of AI carries the label "AI modified". Purely technical assistance without any change to the content (colour correction, editing or retouching minor image defects, for example) is not labelled separately.
